Week 1: the Game Begins

"Playing Cards" 2009.

Beginning at Noon Eastern, 2009, project "Cardgame" commences.
52 cards, 52 weeks, 52 Ebay Auctions.
The game has a few simple rules.

1. Only the back of the card will be visible to bidders during the entire auction, with one exception: the Ace of Spades.
2. The order of the following auctions will correspond to the remainder of the deck, shuffled, and drawn at the beginning of each week.
3. Only Ted will know the order of the auctions, and will reveal the face of the card when posting the next auction.
4. Serious collectors will have the challenge of trying to assemble a good hand. At the end of all the auctions, whoever has the best cards will receive the Joker, free of charge.
5. As the year goes on, early winners are encouraged to re-sell "good" cards for a profit to collectors trying to build a winning hand.
Let the experiment begin! I will maintain regular updates here, and am looking forward to an exciting year of adventures in art. Please help me spread the word about this cool new project.

Hello and welcome to the official website of MoneyMorphosism, a new form of art developed by Ted Stanke. The idea behind MoneyMorphosism is to turn money into art and then sell it for more money. This revalues our currency in an exponentially beneficial manner, and has been conceived as a potential counterbalance to inflation. MoneyMorphosism is patriotic. MoneyMorphosism is legal. MoneyMorphosism is sexy. MoneyMorphosism is cool.

A whole new way to view art: it's an attempt to save money. Don't try this at home.
This site will serve as the definitive hub of information pertaining to the advancement and growth of MoneyMorphisism. Here you will find a constant, concentrated stream of images and ideas about MoneyMorphosism.
